Featured Event: Bulls And Barbecue On Tap In Pinellas Park
For the fourth year, residents are invited to put their barbecue skills to the test at the annual Public Works BBQ Cook-Off and Rodeo.

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- For the fourth year, residents are invited to put their barbecue skills to the test at the annual Public Works BBQ Cook-Off and Rodeo Saturday, Oct. 27.
The event will take place from 2 to 10 p.m. at England Brothers Park, 5010 Dave McKay Way in Pinellas Park.
Amateur adult and youth barbecue chefs are invited to enter pork butts, ribs or both in the barbecue competition with trophies going to the first-, second- and third-place winners. The winners will be announced at 3:35 p.m.

The free event also will include a professional rodeo with bull riding from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and music by the Erica DiCeglie Band from 2 to 3:30 p.m, the Chad Montana Band from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the Pirate Flag Band from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and featured performer Parmalee at 8 p.m.
Additionally, there will be fireworks, vendors, beer, bounce castles and an electronic bull.

Proceeds from the BBQ Cook-Off will benefit People Helping People, a local charitable organization that helps residents who are elderly, disabled or incapacitated on fixed incomes with their yard work or minor repairs to their homes; the Boys & Girls Club and the Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park.
