It Costs More to Rent St. Pete Beach Community Center
With higher demand for the community center, city leaders have raised the rental fees. What do you think of the change?
It will now cost $500 more to rent the community center on Saturdays.
That's the word from St. Pete Beach Commissioners, who've raised the rates, including the "Saturday premium," the most popular time to use the facility.
Residents will get a 10 percent discount on renting the community center, though most of the rentals are by people who do not live on St. Pete Beach.

Jennifer McMahon, Recreation Director, told the Gabber newspaper that the higher fees bring the community center in line with similar facilities.
Users can rent the community center by blocks of time, with the four-hour minimum now $1,500.
