Identity of Man Found in Boca Ciega Bay Released
A St. Petersburg man's body was pulled from Boca Ciega Bay Monday morning.

SOUTH PASADENA, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 64-year-old man found floating in water near the MarineMax boat dealership in South Pasadena Monday morning.
According to the agency, a call about the discovery of the adult male’s body in Boca Ciega Bay came in around 7:38 a.m. Nov. 7. The body was found near one of the 6810 Gulfport Blvd. S. dealership’s boat docks.
Detectives say the man has been positively identified as Kenneth Curry of St. Petersburg. Curry was reported missing to the St. Petersburg Police Department around 6:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. A family member told police Curry had last been seen driving his mobility scooter near his La Plaza Avenue home.

Curry's information had been passed along to law enforcement agencies in the area. No one found him until a report about a body near MarineMax's marina came in, the sheriff's office said.
Curry was pronounced dead around 7:40 a.m. Monday.

"Detectives say the circumstances surrounding Curry's death do not appear suspicious," an email from the sheriff's office said. "The cause of death will be determined pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner's autopsy."
No further information is being released at this time.
