Missing Boater Left Marco Island, Headed To Pinellas: U.S. Coast Guard

Crews are searching for a missing 70-year-old man who was boating from Marco Island to Indian Rocks Beach, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

MARCO ISLAND, FL - U.S. Coast Guard air and surface crews are searching for a missing 70-year-old boater.

Bert Erwin was last seen leaving Rose Marina in Marco Island by boat, the Coast Guard wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Wednesday night. He was heading for Indian Rocks Beach.

Anyone with any information about Erwin is asked to contact the U.S. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg watchstanders at 866-881-1392.
