TREASURE ISLAND, FL – The search for Logan the Saint Bernard came to a tragic ending Friday, July 13, when the 202-pound dog was found dead beneath a neighbor’s bush.
The massive 7-year-old dog had been missing from his Isle of Capri home since Monday, July 9. (See related story.)
Will and Jamie O'Shea left their dog, Logan, at home while they went out for about 45 minutes. When they returned, Logan was gone. They discovered their back door was unlocked but have no idea how he got out of the house.

For five days the O’Sheas went door to door throughout the area searching and handing out fliers. They offered a $2,500 reward and even hired a pet detective to find their beloved dog.
As it turns out, Logan didn’t get far. The pet detective found him dead beneath a bush about a block away. With his heavy fur coat and weight, he may have succumbed to the Florida heat. The O'Sheas are having a necropsy done to determine the cause of death.

“We would first like to thank the thousands of people for their overwhelming help, support and condolences,” Jamie O’Shea posted on her Facebook page Saturday morning. “As you can imagine, we are beyond hurt and sadness. But, with this pain we have closure. Rest In peace to our furry son. You will be in our hearts forever.”
