Mud Wars, Flicks in the Park and One Act Plays

Wahoo! Come out and watch more than 40 teams get down and dirty with tug-a-war, dodge ball and more . . . all in the mud. That and more in this week's "Patch Minute."

St. Petersburg

What are you doing this weekend? How about stopping by Spa Beach in downtown St. Pete and watching dozens of people roll around in the mud! The annual Extreme Mud Wars is going on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Watch our video and hear more about the highlights and the obstacles from Shawn Drouin with the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department.

Gulfport

Come out on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for the "Summer One Acts" at the Catherine Hickman Theater in Gulfport. For just $15 a ticket, you can watch 10 one-act comedies and dramas, many by local playwrights and staged for the first time.

Treasure Island

Bring your friends and family to see "Big Miracle" on Friday at 9 p.m. at Friday Flicks in the Park at the Treasure Island Community Center Park. Enjoy a free movie outdoors on a giant screen. Snack vendors and children's activities will be available before and during the movie. Blankets and lawn chairs welcome. People are welcome to set up as soon as 7 p.m.
