Pedestrian Killed While Crossing 49th Street North In Pinellas Park

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A pedestrian was killed while attempting to cross the 8300 block of 49th Street North in Pinellas Park on Tuesday night.

According to Pinellas Park police, at 9:33 p.m. a black Dodge Charger was headed north on 49th Street North when a pedestrian tried crossing the road in the middle of the block.

The front of the Dodge Charger struck the pedestrian while they were in the center lane of northbound 49th Stree North. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, no criminal charges are being considered.
