PHOTO: St. Pete Beach in Spring Break Spotlight

AOL Travel contributor Terry Ward recently shared this photo of St. Pete Beach via Instagram as part of her Florida spring break 2013 road trip.

Here's what Ward said about the shot, taken earlier this week:

Florida's most beautiful natural pockets can often be seen right alongside mass resorts. This scene looks wild and undeveloped, but I snapped this shot of a dune wildflower on a path running through the dunes right next to the sprawling Don Cesar Hotel in St. Pete Beach. People were packing up their things for the day and making the short walk back to their cars along the trail. My Florida nieces, pros at this stuff, were keeping an eye out for sandspurs.
