What's Open, Closed 4th Of July Weekend

City and county government offices will close on Monday, July 5.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Pinellas County Government offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day. This includes departments under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerk’s Office, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser and Supervisor of Elections.

County parks and the outdoor areas of the county preserves will be open. The Parks & Conservation Resources administrative offices will be closed, as will Heritage Village, the Brooker Creek Environmental Education Center and the Weedon Island Cultural and Natural History Center.

Both educational centers will have regular operating hours Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but will be closed on Sunday, July 4. Beach and boat ramp parking permits can be purchased online.

Pinellas County Human Services office locations will be closed.

Pinellas County Building Services office locations will be closed, and inspections will not be taking place.

The courts of the Sixth Judicial Circuit (Pinellas and Pasco) will not be in session except for first-appearance advisory hearings and emergency situations.

The Solid Waste Disposal Facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday; however, the Solid Waste Administration Building and Household Electronics and Chemical Collection Center (HEC3) will be closed.

The offices and adoption center at Pinellas County Animal Services will be closed.

Pinellas Park

Pinellas Park city offices, the brush site and library will be closed Monday, July 5.

Treasure Island

City of Treasure Island offices and most recreation centers will be closed on Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day.

The Treasure Bay Golf and Tennis Club is open until 5 p.m.

There will be no change to Monday's sanitation and recycling routes.

For police or fire emergencies, dial 911 as usual.

A reminder that the city of Treasure Island’s Fourth of July Fireworks show will be Sunday, July 4 (rain date July 5) starting at 9 p.m. Fireworks will be shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd.

Bring a beach chair or towel and enjoy the show as fireworks light up the night sky.

Those coming out to the fireworks show will be able to park in Treasure Island Park for a $20 flat-rate parking fee. Find a list of all metered parking lots by visiting mytreasureisland.com and by clicking on “Parking” in the main drop-down menu.

The Treasure Island Police Department reminds residents and visitors to use crosswalks when crossing Gulf Boulevard and other busy roadways.

City officials want to also remind beach goers to remember to leave no trace by putting trash in its place and leaving the beach in the same condition as you found it.

St. Pete Beach

City offices in St. Pete Beach will be closed Monday, July 5 for the Fourth of July holiday.
