Pinellas To Host Sand Key Beach Nourishment Project Meeting
Representatives from Pinellas County and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be on hand for the meeting.

INDIAN SHORES, FL – The beaches of Pinellas County attract millions of visitors every year from across the Tampa Bay area and around the world.
However, with several recent storms that stalled over Pinellas County over the past few years, erosion has become a major issue for the area beaches. Since 2012, the county has focused on beach nourishment to help protect the natural and man-made areas along the coast.
Pinellas County will host a public information meeting on Thursday, March 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. about the upcoming Sand Key beach nourishment project. The meeting will be held on the fourth floor of the Indian Shores Town Hall, 19305 Gulf Boulevard.

Representatives from Pinellas County and the Corps will be on hand to answer questions about the project and the easements that will be required for portions of properties located along the coast where the nourishment activity will take place.
