PINELLAS PARK, FL — The Pinellas Park High School Patriot Singers represented Pinellas County Schools in the Big Apple with a performance at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on March 31.

Helen Twinam, director of choral studies and performing arts department chair at Pinellas Park High, held auditions for the 20-person choral group that traveled to New York. She also submitted an audition tape for the students to perform in the St. Patrick’s Guest Choir Concert Series. The choir fundraised and rehearsed every week for months in preparation for the trip.

“Performing in St. Patrick’s was an experience I will never forget,” said Twinam, who added the concert series is reserved for advanced high school- and college-level choirs. “I could not be more proud of my students and all of their hard work and determination to get there. I know they will remember this trip for the rest of their lives.”
