Rays Beach Watch Party, Dive In Movie and More Beach Events

RAYS BEACH WATCH PARTY: Want to watch the Rays on the Beach? Watch from a giant screen on the beach as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Los Angeles Dodgers on St. Pete Beach at the Guy Harvey Outpost.  There will be beer specials, cook-out favorites, and more.  Game starts at 4:10 p.m. Sunday.

LAST SUMMER DIVE IN MOVIE: You'll have one more chance this summer to bring the kids to see a Dive In Movie at the St. Pete Beach Community Center and Aquatic Complex. Check out "Madagascar 3" beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9. Bring your noodles, floats and chairs to enjoy the big screen out under the stars. 

BIG USED BOOK SALE: Fiction, non-fiction, mysteries, romance, children’s, large print, young adult and more at the Big Used Book Sale. The Friends of the St. Pete Beach Library are holding the sale Saturday from 8 until 11 a.m. The library is located at 365 73rd Ave.

THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.: The whole family can relive the magic of the Disney tale in this musical performance at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa. Show times are 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Get tickets online or call 813-229-7827.

SHARK WEEK! The Florida Aquarium, 701 Channelside Dr., Tampa, celebrates these undersea predators through Sunday, Aug. 11, with a shark-themed scavenger hunt, additional shark feeding tours, appearances by the Florida Aquarium Mermaids and more. Visit flaquarium.org for more details.
