Recount Friday For Treasure Island Election
One of five referendum questions on Tuesday's ballot ended in a tie vote.

Election officials will be holding a recount Friday morning after Treasure Island voters were split on a referendum dealing with downtown redevelopment in Tuesday's municipal election.
Referendum question No. 3, which would allow density of up to 60 hotel or motel rooms per acre in the city's new downtown redevelopment district, ended in a dead heat. There were 762 votes in favor and 762 opposed, according to unofficial results from the Pinellas Supervisor of Elections.
The Pinellas County Canvassing Board will meet at 9 a.m. Friday to conduct a recount and to certify the results, elections spokesperson Nancy Whitlock said.
