Redington Beach Runner at Boston Marathon as Explosion Rocks Race

Boston Police are reporting at least two people died and dozens were injured after two explosions occurred Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. 

Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast. 

According to the Boston Marathon's website, at least one runner in this year's race listed Redington Beach as his or her hometown. If you wish to search for 2013 Boston Marathon runners, click here. 

The Boston Marathon released a statement around 4 p.m. that said, "There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon. We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."

The Associated Press is reporting at least two other explosive devices were found.

The White House has issued an official statement: 

"The President has been notified of the incident in Boston. His administration is in contact with state and local authorities. He directed his administration to provide whatever assistance is necessary in the investigation and response."
