PINELLAS PARK, FL — Here's a story that proves first responders don't duck their duties.
Pinellas Park police and firefighters were summoned to the Sandalwood Apartments by residents after five ducklings fell through a storm drain grate and became trapped.
While the flustered mother duck looked on, first responders removed the grate and gently scooped the little ducklings into buckets. Once they determined that the little guys were uninjured, they released them into the custody of their relieved mother.

The mom, followed by her babies, happily waddled to the nearby pond, and the family promptly duck-paddled away.
