Sanding Ovations Draws the 'Best in the World' to Treasure Island
Sanding Ovations Masters Cup is held once a year on Treasure Island, where world-renowned sand sculptors battle it out to take home first-place winnings.
Meredith Corson and Dan Doubleday, both residents of Treasure Island, own and operate Sanding Ovations. The company is held in high esteem with sand sculptors and fans worldwide. Corson and Doubleday travel to hundreds of events each year to showcase their unmatched abilities.
The Sanding Ovations Master Cup is an invitational competition that brings forth the best in the business. Artists spend hours upon hours prepping their masterpieces for judging.
Guests and fans were able to watch the experts in action last weekend, as they went head to head for the first place title. The winners of the weekend are:
- First Place: Jan Selen
- Second Place: Stephane Robert
- Third Place: Dan Belcher
- Fourth Place: Benjamin Probanza
- People’s Choice: Lucinda Wierenga
