Sewer Break Forces Oakhurst Road Detour Through Jan. 16

SEMINOLE, FL -- Northbound traffic on Oakhurst Road in Seminole will be diverted through Wednesday, Jan. 16 due to a broken 8-inch sewer main.

Drivers will have to detour from Oakhurst Road onto Oakhurst Road North, also known as 94th Avenue North, to 137th Street North, also known as Antilles Drive. Intermittent closures of southbound traffic on Oakhurst Road are possible.

Crews responded Wednesday, Jan. 9 to a report of a break in the sewer line. They estimate that the repair of the pipe will be completed by Thursday, Jan. 10. However, repairs to the road won't be finished until Jan. 16.
