Overhead Surf Shop to Host Skim-Boarding Contest

On Saturday, will be showcasing a slew of local talent in their End of Summer skim-boarding contest. The event will take place across the street from the shop, which is located in John's Pass.

Registration ends on Thursday at 2pm. The entry fee is $30 and the competitors will be divided into groups based on ability. Participants will have the opportunity to register for one of three groups: beginner, intermediate or advanced. There is no minimum or maximum age requirement.

Those who compete will receive a gift bag, a contest t-shirt and pair of sunglasses from Spoken Threads. Other giveaways will take place throughout the day as well.

Check in begins at 7:30am and the contest will start promptly at 8:30am. Participants are encouraged to arrive early. To register, fill out the waiver provided and submit it, along with $30, to Overhead Surf Shop by Thursday at 2pm.
