St. Pete Beach Welcomes Bentley’s
Store owner, Torrie Tiernan Jasuwan, has her work cut out with less than a month to prepare for the opening of Bentley's new storefront.
Now, Tiernan Jasuwan has her eyes on a new location for the popular store: St. Pete Beach.
Less than a year after opening Bentley’s Boutique in downtown St. Petersburg, Tiernan Jasuwan opened a second store called Gold & Maiden, on the same block. After the success of the two shops, Tiernan Jasuwan considered her options.
Home is where the heart is and as a native to Treasure Island, Tiernan Jasuwan decided that she wanted the store to be closer to home. She began shopping the beaches for a new location that would best suit her business venture.
“My husband and I both grew up on the beaches, so we kind of wanted to get back to our roots,” said Tiernan Jasuwan.
Although Bentley’s Boutique did well in downtown St. Pete, Tiernan Jasuwan says that she has altered the inventory of the store and even changed the name. The new shop will be known as Bentley’s on the Beach and it will be retail only, whereas the previous location offered consignment as well as retail.
Tiernan Jasuwan is preparing to move into the the new location, at 6850 Gulf Blvd. (formerly A-Plus Restaurant Equipment), and has a vast amount of new product to sort through. From the largest selection of baby clothes in the area to swimwear, Tiernan Jasuwan says that Bentley’s on the Beach will carry a wide variety of merchandise.
Other items to be carried at Bentley’s on the Beach include handmade soy candles from Smith Wicks, a local company, plus collegiate accessories for Florida-based teams. Jewelry from a number of local designers will also be up for grabs.
As of right now, the storefront is vacant and will definitely need Tiernan Jasuwan’s magical touch to be presentable by her opening date. She says that the new store will have a “beachy type feel” with bright colors and a welcoming atmosphere.
Bentley’s on the Beach will open on Wednesday, August 15 with a grand opening to follow.
