Submerged Jeep Found in South Pasadena

Breaking: A Jeep Liberty was found in water off Gulfport Boulevard South Saturday morning.

SOUTH PASADENA, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a submerged Jeep Liberty found in waters off Gulfport Boulevard early Saturday morning.

According to the agency, a call about the vehicle found submerged in the 6800 block of Gulfport Boulevard South came in around 7:13 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Marine deputies were dispatched and found the bronze Jeep sport utility vehicle under water with a broken rear window, the agency wrote in an email to media.

No people were found inside the Jeep, which was subsequently removed from the water.

The case remains under investigation with no further information available.
