Treasure Island Couple Desperately Search For Massive Missing Dog

Jamie O'Shea: "If you have him, please return him home, no questions asked."

TREASURE ISLAND, FL – Despite offering a reward of $2,500, a Treasure Island couple say no one has seen hide nor hair of their 202-pound Saint Bernard for three days.

The massive 7-year-old dog has been missing since Monday, July 9. Will and Jamie O’Shea left their dog, Logan, at home while they went out for about 45 minutes. When they returned to their Isle of Capri home, Logan was gone. They discovered their back door was unlocked and believe someone took the dog.

“Logan is a 200-pound couch potato,” said Will O’Shea. “He is not one to wander off.”

And if he did leave his home for some reason, O’Shea said he wouldn’t get very far on his own. In addition to being the size of a pony and difficult to miss, his weight and heavy fur coat make walking in the Florida heat difficult.

The O'Sheas have reported Logan missing to the Treasure Island Police and have gone door to door throughout their neighborhood searching for their dog and passing out fliers offering a reward.

Word of the missing dog has also spread quickly among pet lovers on social media. The O’Sheas have received donations allowing them to increase the reward for his safe return from $500 to $2,500.

“We are thankful for their generosity beyond words,” said Jamie O’Shea. “We are sick and heartbroken and just want him back. If you have him, please return him home, no questions asked.”

Will O’Shea added that anyone who spots Logan should not be afraid to approach him. He’s very friendly.

Anyone with information on Logan’s disappearance is urged to contact the Treasure Island Police at (727) 547-4595.
