Treasure Island Crowds Give Sculptures Sanding Ovations

TREASURE ISLAND, FL -- Ten master sand sculptors amazed crowds with their craft Nov. 10-18 during the 10th annual Sanding Ovations Masters Cup Sand Sculpture Competition and Music Festival on Treasure Island.

The invitation competition has grown to be the largest masters competition in the Southeast United States.

Sand sculptors from around the world vied for more than $12,000 in cash prizes.

The event also included live music, a beach food court, arts and crafts marketplace and giant fireworks display.
