Watch: Simple Science Lesson Saves Elementary School Boy's Life
When he raised two fingers to check his pulse, the boy couldn't find one.

Michelle Digman, fifth grade teacher at Pinellas Park Elementary, hoped her lesson on the human circulatory system would inspire her students, but she didn’t expect it would save one of their lives.
When 10-year-old Tashawn Roberts tried to check his pulse the way Ms. Digman taught him, two fingers to his neck, he couldn’t find it, according to the Tampa Bay Times. What he did find was what the Times describes as a golf-ball sized lump.
Tashawn told his mom about the lump when he got home that day and she rushed him to the hospital.

Doctors told Tashawn and his mother that the lump was an aneurysm that could have burst at any moment. They took Tashawn into surgery to remove it and he was back at school fully recovered two weeks later.
