1,300 Plant City Veterans Remembered With Help Of Army Of Volunteers

For the third year, the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department recruited volunteers to make sure that all veterans' graves had a flag.

PLANT CITY, FL — Thanks to volunteers, members of the Plant City Police Department and the Durant High School ROTC cadets, about 1,300 American flags were placed on veterans' graves at four city cemeteries to commemorate Veterans Day.

For the third year, the cemetery operations unit of the Plant City Parks & Recreation Department honored military veterans that are interred in the city’s four cemeteries by placing a flag on every gravesite.
