Academy Of Country Music Nominates Strawberry Festival For Top Fair

PLANT CITY, FL — The Academy of Country Music announced nominations for the 58th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards Thursday, and the Florida Strawberry Festival has been selected as one of five nominees in the Fair/Rodeo of the Year category.

Over its 58 years, the Florida Strawberry Festival has hosted top country entertainers including Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Walker Hayes, The Gatlin Brothers, Chris Young, Neal McCoy, Josh Turner, Roots & Boots with Aaron Tippin, Collin Raye and Sammy Kershaw, the Leroy Van Dyke Country Gold Tour with Van Dyke, T.G. Sheppard, Mandy Barnett and T. Graham Brown and Lynyrd Skynyrd this year.

Past performers have included Loretta Lynn, Toby Keith, Randy Travis, George Jones, Vince Gill, the Charlie Daniels Band, Charley Pride, Trace Adkins, Mel Tillis, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Brenda Lee, Ricky Skaggs, Ronny Milsap, Alan Jackson, Hank Williams Jr. Toby Mac, Luke Bryan, Clint Black, The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Billy Ray Cyrus, Travis Tritt, Sugarland, Glen Campbell, Blake Shelton, LeAnn Rimes, the Bellamy Brothers, Crystal Gayle and Glen Campbell.

The 58th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will take place on Thursday, May 11, at 8 p.m. from the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas. The event will be hosted by Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.
