Car Carrying 3 Children Under Age 3 Hits Plant City Police Vehicle
The children and their parents were taken to the hospital for treatment.
PLANT CITY, FL —The Plant City police are continuing to investigate a weekend crash that involved an unmarked police vehicle.
On Saturday at 10:35 p.m., an officer was responding to a call, traveling south on North Park Road in an unmarked Dodge Durango with its emergency lights activated when it crashed with a gray Ford Fusion heading north on North Park Road in the left turn lane, preparing to turn west onto East Cherry Street.
A witness told police that the driver of the Ford Fusion failed to yield the right of way to the police vehicle, which struck the front passenger area of the Dodge.

The Ford Fusion was occupied by a man who was driving, a woman in the front passenger seat and three children age 3 and under in the second row of the vehicle. All three children were in child restraint seats, however, none were fastened.
