Downtown Plant City's Last Friday in Downtown will feature a Harry Potter birthday celebration.
PLANT CITY, FL — Plant City's monthly event, Last Friday in Downtown, will transform for a Harry Potter Birthday Celebration Friday, July 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. at McCall Park, 100 N. Collins St.
During the free event, kids and parents can make their way to Platform 9 3/4 at The Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum, take part in a wizarding scavenger hunt, check out the Main Street kids' zone with hands-on art, dare to ride the extreme gyrosphere, take on the giant waterslide, browse the exhibitor market, test their skills in axe throwing with Bury the Hatchet, participate in a Harry-Potter-themed costume content and enjoy food and butterbeer.
Many downtown businesses will be open late for shopping and businesses and organizations have been invited to showcase their wizardry at being creative.
