Plant City Man Threatened To Injure Others At High School: U.S. DOJ

PLANT CITY, FL — A Plant City man faces charges after threatening a Hillsborough County high school, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Janye B. Evans, 18, was charged with interstate transmission of a threat to injure.

Investigators learned on July 24 that Evans posted a photograph of himself on social media in front of the high school that “contained a caption threatening to injure others,” the DOJ said.

They found other photos on his social media platform, several of which showed him in possession of what appeared to be guns, the agency said.
