Sheriff’s Office Helicopter Has Emergency Landing In Plant City: HCSO
Two Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office pilots made an emergency helicopter landing in Plant City Tuesday afternoon, the agency said.

PLANT CITY, FL — A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office helicopter made an emergency landing in Plant City Wednesday afternoon.
Two pilots landed the helicopter in a field off County Road 39 just after 4 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.
While the pilots on board weren’t injured, the helicopter was damaged in the landing.

“The safety of our deputies and pilots is our top priority. The helicopter will be grounded while a full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “HCSO is committed to maintaining the highest safety standards for its fleet and will take necessary steps to fully investigate the cause of the incident.”
