Sarasota Woman Killed in Crash
The fatal accident happened on U.S. 41 at Constitution on Thursday afternoon.
SARASOTA, FL — A 63-year-old Sarasota woman is dead following a Thursday afternoon crash on U.S. 41.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Eleanor Grochowski was heading east from the southbound left turn lane of U.S. 41 to Constitution Boulevard around 3:53 p.m. At that time, Terry Lynn Moreland Jr., 20, of Sarasota was heading north on U.S. 41 in the center lane.
Troopers say the front of Grochowski’s Acura struck the side of Moreland’s Dodge Ram.

Grochowski died from injuries suffered in the crash, troopers say.
No charges were filed in the case.
