Teen Critically Injured After Falling Off Car

BREAKING: The accident happened Wednesday night in a parking lot on Cattlemen Road.

SARASOTA, FL — A 17-year-old girl was hospitalized with critical injuries after a Wednesday night stunt involving a car and a parking lot took a dangerous turn.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jacquelyn M. Jacob, 18, of Sarasota was driving a Hyundai Elantra in the parking lot at 4804 Cattlemen Road around 10:24 p.m. While Jacob had one passenger inside the car with her, troopers say there were two outside, sitting on the rear of the car.

At some point, troopers say Jacob made a right turn to continue south in the parking lot. When she did, Blake Williams, 26, and Dakota Alexander, 17, were thrown to the pavement. Williams was not injured, but Alexander hit her head in the fall, a highway patrol report said.
