Customer Appreciation Day at Health Mutt on June 1

Once a year, customers at Health Mutt in Seminole Heights are honored with a day geared toward them.

This year, Customer Appreciation Day will be from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 at the store, 6116 N. Central Avenue.

During the event, customers can expect a 15 percent off discount on items, goodie bags for the first 50 customers, raffle prizes and vendors who will talk pet nutrition and give away samples, said owner Kendra Bailey.

"We are letting people know to bring their furry friends with them so they can taste test the food samples," Bailey said.

Proceeds from the event will go toward Dogma Pet Rescue and the Golden Retriever Rescue Mid-Florida.

Bailey said the event, held once a year, is to celebrate customers who have supported the store since it opened in 2011.

"I love the people who live in this neighborhood," she said. "I love our customers and how nice they are. I wanted to do something to say, 'Thank you.' They are the ones who kept our business afloat, and have been our supporters and cheered us on. It really does mean a lot."
