Hillsborough County Buses Burglarized, Defecated in During Holiday Break

The discovery was made on Sunday, Jan. 6.

Hillsborough County school buses were burglarized and defecated in during winter break after parking in the lot of a school near Seminole Heights, according to the Tampa Police Department.

Here's what happened, according to a Tampa police:

On Dec. 21, bus drivers parked their buses in the lot at Ferrell Middle School, 4302 N. 24th Street, between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. On Jan. 6, it was discovered that the buses were burglarized when someone noticed the gate to the parking lot was unlocked, as it had been all year.

Three of the four buses had commercial heavy duty batteries removed from them before one of the suspects defecated behind the driver's seat.

A school security officers came to the scene to ensure the batteries were replaced, and a countywide search was conducted.

There are no leads, suspects or witnesses in the case.
