1. Smithsonian Magazine's 18th annual Museum Day will take place Saturday, September 17 at select museums in Tampa Bay and in other cities across the country. Participating museums include Henry B. Plant Museum, Imagine Museum, Tampa Bay History Center, Ybor City Museum State Park, and more. (Tampa Patch)
2. City of Tampa celebrated one year of the "Fix It Fast" initiative, which aims to fix road problems such as potholes within 72 hours of being reported by residents. Officials say the city repaired more than 4,000 potholes in an average time of 46 hours after being reported. (Bay News 9)
3. The Saints have beat the Buccaneers in seven straight regular-season football games. The Bucs are looking to end that in their next game against them on Sunday's game, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. (ABC Action News)
4. A new reality show called “Meet My Abuela” was filmed almost exclusively in Tampa. The series is made up of 15-minute episodes about young couples seeking approval from their grandmothers. The episodes are are now on YouTube via Visit Florida. (That's So Tampa)
5. Black Lives Matter groups held a press conference on Wednesday discussing a lawsuit that alleges the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is responsible for a 14-year-old Tampa boy’s death in 2014. Speakers called for an end to qualified immunity, which the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office repeatedly invoked in the case. (WFLA)
