TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying two men who stole guns from a local gun store and range.
On Oct. 12, just after 5:30 a.m., two men smashed a window of the Florida Firearms Academy, 13317 W Hillsborough Ave., Tampa.
The two men stole five long guns (shotguns and rifles) from the business but were not able to gain full access to the academy due to burglar bars.

After stealing the guns, the man fled west to a waiting car on Memorial Highway.
“This is a crime that creates even more criminal activity, and we want these thieves off our streets,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Not only is their thievery a problem for the business they victimized, but this grows when the weapons they stole end up in the hands of other criminals and more crime is committed.”
