2 Men Die After Argument Escalates Into Shootout: Sheriff
Two men died after opening fire on each other during an argument in Wimauma, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

WIMAUMA, FL — Two men were killed after opening fire on each other during a late Tuesday afternoon argument in Wimauma, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Detectives are investigating the double homicide of Rigoberto Vences, 28, and Osvaldo Rodriguez, 27.
Deputies were called about a shooting on the 3300 block of Willow Road around 6:15 p.m.

Investigators believe the men got into an argument before exchanging gunfire, the sheriff’s office said.
Both were injured in the shootout and brought to a nearby hospital, where they later died.

"This tragic event reminds us that disputes can escalate quickly with deadly consequences," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "This type of violence on our streets puts innocent lives at risk and will not be tolerated."
