2017 Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival: What To Know Before You Go

TAMPA, FL – The largest festival that celebrates the Three Bs – beer, bourbon and barbecue, will have it Tampa tour stop tomorrow.

The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is set to take place Saturday, Feb. 18 at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa. The event features a full day of entertainment, surrounded by the sights and smells of barbecue.

Here’s what area residents need to know before you go to the 2017 Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival:

Date and Time

The 2017 Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival tour stop in Tampa is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18 from noon to 6 p.m. The sold-out VIP Bacon & Whole Hog session starts at 2 p.m. and the open regular session starts at 2 p.m.

Location

The festival will take place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located at 600 N. Ashley Drive in downtown Tampa.

Admission

Regular advance admission is $39 and includes a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited sampling of beer and bourbon and all live entertainment. Advance and onsite Designated Driver admission is $25, and does not allow access to the VIP area.

Children 12 and younger are free, but organizers said the event is not designed for children and they will find very little that may interest them.

Charity

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation, which provides support and promotes education for children and adults with mental or physical disabilities.

• 1 p.m. – Garrison Brothers Bourbon in the Tasting Theater
• 1 p.m. – M-N-M BBQ Inc. at the Shrine of Swine
• 1:30 p.m. – Ronnie Dee and The Superstars on the Main Stage
• 2 p.m. – Doors open for regular admission
• 2 pm.. – The Glenlivet in the Tasting Theater
• 3 p.m. – Guiness Tasting Seminar in the Tasting Theater
• 3 p.m. – M-N-M BBQ Inc. at the Shrine of Swine
• 3:30 p.m. – Contests on The Main Stage: Drink Like A Lady Contest, Tampa’s Best Beer Belly Contest
• 4 p.m. – Bubba Que’s at the Shrine of Swine
• 4 p.m. – Koval Distillery Tasting Seminar in the Tasting Theater
• 4 p.m. – The Spazmatics on the Main Stage
• 5:40 p.m. – Last call for alcohol
• 5:45 p.m. – Last pour for alcohol
