275 Bottles of Nail Polish Swiped, 2 Suspects Sought
Hillsborough County deputies need help identifying two people accused of stealing more than 275 bottles of nail polish.
TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is on the trail of two people its deputies say seem to have a serious passion for nail polish. The pair, a man and woman, are accused of swiping more than 275 bottles of nail polish from a Walmart store.
According to the sheriff’s office, the crime in question occurred on Oct. 26 around 1:37 a.m. The man and woman walked into the 6192 Gunn Highway Walmart and went into the cosmetics section. Once there, they opened a book bag and proceeded to fill it up with more than 275 bottles of polish, an email from the sheriff's office said. Evidently satisfied with their take, the couple proceeded to leave the store without paying, deputies noted.
The man and woman reportedly got into a maroon, four-door sedan that was waiting to take them away. Deputies say the vehicle had tinted windows and might be missing a front driver’s side wheel cover. It is believed to be a Nissan Maxima or Toyota Camry.
