3 Injured After Car Speeding At 100MPH Crashes On FL Highway
Three people were seriously injured when a car lost control while speeding at 100 mph on Interstate 75, the FL Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Three people were seriously injured Saturday night when a car going 100 mph lost control on Interstate 75 and crashed into trees, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A 25-year-old Tampa man driving a Dodge Charger with bald tires was heading south on the highway around 9:30 p.m.
When he lost control of his car on the wet roadway near milepost 268, it rotated and drove off the highway, FHP said.

It traveled into the outside shoulder and became airborne after hitting an embankment before hitting several trees, troopers said.
The driver and his passengers, a 24-year-old Riverview man and a 25-year-old Land O’ Lakes man, were brought to area hospitals with serious injuries.
