3-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Tampa 4th-Story Apartment Window

TAMPA, FL — A 3-year-old girl who fell out of the bedroom window of a fourth-floor apartment in Tampa died from her injuries on Wednesday.

Tampa police said the toddler fell from the open window at Mosaic Westshore Apartments at 110 S Hoover Blvd., Tampa, around 4:40 Sunday and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

“As a parent myself, I know the extent a parent will go to ensure the safety of their child. It is absolutely heartbreaking that a child lost their life in such a tragic manner,” Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they grieve the life-altering loss of their child."
