5 People of Interest Sought in Teen’s Death
Tampa Police want to speak to five men in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a 17-year-old.
TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is searching for five men detectives would like to speak to in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a teenager outside a hotel.
According to the agency, police received a call about shots fired at the Tampa Hotel, 2307 E. Busch Blvd., around 3:48 p.m. Oct. 30. When they arrived, they found Kelly E. Stacy Jr., 17, on the ground.
Officers began performing CPR on Stacy, but he was pronounced dead by Tampa Fire Rescue medics shortly after their arrival.

Another person who has not yet been identified was also injured in the Sunday shooting. That person was hospitalized with injuries that are believed to be not life-threatening.
Police say the incident does not appear to be random.

The men police would like to speak to are believed to have information related to Stacy's death, the agency wrote in a Monday email to media. In addition to the five men in the photos, police would like to speak to anyone with information about the case. Tips may be called into Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-873-TIPS.
