5 Young Girls Battling Cancer Will Get the Royal Treatment

The patients from the Children's Cancer Center in Tampa will be transformed into queens for a day, courtesy of Disney On Ice presents "Rockin' Ever After."

Five girls with pediatric cancer, ages 3 and 4, will become Tampa royalty on Wednesday, May 15, at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Performers from Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After along with local volunteers from the For a Day Foundation will transform the girls into queens for a day of fun, relaxation and reprieve from their demanding treatments.

Each child is receiving ongoing treatment at the Children’s Cancer Center in Tampa.

On this special day, the five girls will be presented with their favorite princess ball gown and slippers upon arrival at 10:30 a.m. They will then be taken into a beautiful room to make crafts as well as visit individual nail and makeup stations where they will receive a makeover from For a Day Foundation volunteers.

The journey will conclude at the crowning station, where the girls will receive a tiara and scepter as they are guided to their signature ceremony by a Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After princess. The princess will take photographs with each of the little girls, read them a special story and leave them with empowering and inspiring messages of hope and love.

After their special induction into Disney On Ice royalty, the new Disney queens will receive a healthy snack. Performers will continue speaking with the tiny monarchs about always believing in their dreams while staying true to themselves.

Each girl will also receive tickets to Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After.
