A recent ranking revealed the most beloved tailgate dishes served across America's parking lots.​ See which FL foods made the list.

On football weekends, stadium parking lots are known for transforming into open-air kitchens where fans can fill up on their favorite tailgate foods before heading into the game.

Streaming schedule service LiveSportsonTV recently surveyed 3,045 football fans nationwide and compiled a ranking of the most beloved game-day dishes served across America’s parking lots.

The result is a list of the top 93 tailgate dishes that hail from numerous states and range from fresh seafood to comfort foods to slow-cooked meats and homemade sauces.

"Tailgate menus are cultural snapshots, showing how local identity, regional flavor and even conference rivalries play out on the plate," the survey authors wrote. "From smoked chicken in Tuscaloosa to salmon sliders in Seattle, America’s fans aren’t just showing up hungry — they’re showing up proud."

So, which Florida game day staples won over the tailgate crowd?

Coming in at No. 50 were the Cuban sandwiches served up at Miami Dolphins tailgate parties.

"Dolphins fans bring a Miami classic to the tailgate: pressed Cuban sandwiches," the survey authors wrote. "Layers of roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard are stacked between crusty bread and grilled until golden. They’re easy to slice and share, making them perfect for feeding a sun-soaked South Florida crowd."

No. 52. Smoked Turkey Legs, Florida State Seminoles

"Smoked turkey legs are a fixture in Tallahassee on game days," the survey authors wrote. "Massive, juicy, and dripping with flavor, they’re easy to carry around the tailgate lot or even into the stands. For Seminole fans, gnawing on a turkey leg feels primal, celebratory and downright fun — the perfect fuel for a Saturday showdown."

No. 62. Frita Cubana Bamburgers, University of Miami Hurricanes

"At Hurricanes tailgates, the frita cubana steals the spotlight as one of the most mouthwatering foods on the lot," the survey authors wrote. "This Cuban-style burger, packed with garlicky, paprika-seasoned beef and topped with crispy shoestring potatoes, bursts with Miami flavor in every bite."

No. 67. BBQ Gator Bites, University of Florida (Gators)

"At 'The Swamp,' Gators fans embrace the theme head-on with barbecue gator bites," the survey authors wrote. "Marinated and grilled, the meat takes on a smoky flavor that pairs well with tangy dipping sauces. It’s a bold, tongue-in-cheek tailgate tradition that rivals the roar of the crowd inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium."

No. 88. Smoked Mullet Dip, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

"On the Gulf Coast, smoked mullet dip is a tailgate staple," the survey authors wrote. "The fish is smoked, flaked, and mixed with cream cheese, spices, lemon juice and hot sauce, then scooped up with crackers or chips. At Bucs games, it’s as common as coolers of beer — a salty, smoky snack that ties the team to Florida’s fishing culture."

No. 91. Gator Tail Nuggets, Jacksonville Jaguars

"In Jacksonville, it doesn’t get more local than fried gator tail nuggets," the survey authors wrote. "Bite-sized pieces are breaded, seasoned and fried golden, served with ranch or spicy remoulade. It’s a crunchy, game-day treat that feels fitting for a team with Florida roots."
