Today is September 11 also known as Patriot Day. It is an important day to look back on the terrorist attack that took nearly 3,000 lives in 2001.

1. Ceremonies and events around the Tampa area today will remember the sacrifices made on 9/11 by first-responders. Events include a 9/11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony, 9/11 First Responders Cookie Run, 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride, and more. (Tampa Patch)

2. New Port Richey Mayor Rob Marlowe railed against the public, public comment, protesters,and press in a prolonged rant this past week. "I'd love to see them settle down and go about their lives," the mayor shared. Discussing people who request public records, he added, "I don't care where they go, just go away." 3. The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) is celebrating 60 years in Tampa Bay. Plans to move the museum downtown Tampa have been scrapped as the museum makes moves to stay in the University area. MOSI is hosting currently hosting a dinosaur exhibit for kids, with adult-only events also coming up. (ABC Action News)

4. Suspended Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren's attorneys filed a reply in federal court on Friday as part of his legal challenge against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Warren's attorney said, "It's about making sure that the governor doesn’t just get to throw out people’s votes because he doesn’t like the outcome of an election." (WTSP)

The Tampa Bay Community Network is building a new multi-camera television studio, podcast recording studio and editing suite in its facility on the first floor of the former University Mall, now called "RITHM@Uptown."
