Aquarium Invites Residents To Spend The Fourth With The Fish

The Florida Aquarium will offer an All-American Picnic, fireworks and extended hours on July 4.

The Florida Aquarium is offering residents a chance to celebrate the Fourth of July with a family picnic, fireworks and extended hours from 5 to 9:30 p.m. 

On Thursday, July 4 after 5 p.m., residents will pay just $15 to get into The Florida Aquarium where they can explore the exhibits, enjoy family-friendly entertainment, an All-American Picnic and patriotic goodies, and then watch a dazzling fireworks display over the channel starting at 9 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online or at The Florida Aquarium's ticket booth on July 4 starting at 5 p.m.

For the All-American Picnic, guests will dine on hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon, cookies, iced tea and lemonade in the Sea Star Pavilion.

Picnic tickets are $15.95 for adults and $8.95 for children or $13.95 for adults with an aquarium membership and $7.95 for kids.

Picnic tickets do not include Aquarium admission. The picnic will be located in a designated area that only picnic ticket holders can enter. 

For the best view of the fireworks display, residents are invited to make reservations for a sunset cruise about The Aquarium's Ecotour Boat, a 72-foot catamaran, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. 

The cruise includes admission to The Aquarium and costs $69 general admission and $59 for Aquarium members.
