Barricaded 81-Year-Old Man Taken Into Custody By Tampa Police
The Tampa man is accused of shooting a gun at another man. The bullet grazed the victim's arm.

TAMPA, FL —An 81-year-old Tampa man has been taken into custody by Tampa police after being accused of shooting another man and then barricading himself in a home.
On Monday at 1:35 p.m., police responded to a home in the 1300 block of East Osbourne Avenue after a man in his 50s was shot.
The man was grazed in the arm by a bullet and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said the gunman, Richard Jackson, remained inside the house and did not respond to officers when they tried to make contact with him.
Around 4 p.m., after more than two hours of attempting to make contact with Jackson, the officers took him into custody without further incident.

Jackson was placed under the Baker Act for involuntary evaluation of mental health issues. Criminal charges are still pending.
