1. Craig Campbell, whose hit single is titled, "All My Friends Drink Beer," and Big Storm Brewing in Clearwater will release a C.C. Cold Beer today. The beer is a smooth pilsner that will be on tap at Big Storm's five Florida taprooms starting today. It will also be available by the case at Campbell's new Grindstone Cowboy Coffee Shop, which is hosting its grand opening today in Eagleville, Tennessee. (Clearwater Patch)
2. Manta, a data lineage company based in Prague, has established its U.S. headquarters in Tampa. "The surge of Tampa's tech scene is a major reason why we decided to build our team in the hub of top talent," Manta founder and CEO Tomas Kratky said in a news release. (St. Pete Catalyst)
3. Today, Rep. Dianne Hart (D-Tampa) and several other state representatives will host an online forum to help struggling homeowners get help. Rising property insurance prices are putting homeowners in a bind, as well as mortgage rates and other concerns. The forum will highlight solutions available including government aid. The virtual workshop is scheduled for today from 3 to 4 p.m. Those interested can register online. (ABC Action News)
4. "Star Wars Night: This is the Way" is set for Saturday, May 10 at The Castle in Ybor City. There will be a costume contest, Wookiee Howling Contest, aerial stunts and more. The event has a $20 cover and is restricted to adults 18 and up. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
5. A Gulfport man was arrested Wednesday for sexually battering a teenager at a St. Petersburg restaurant, according to police. The St. Petersburg Police Department said Joseph Morrison, 49, of Gulfport committed a sex act on a 15-year-old boy while in the bathroom of the PoFolks on 34th Street North. (WFLA)

- The percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties continues to rise. According to Hillsborough's COVID-19 dashboard, it was at 5.7% as of the week ending Tuesday. The rate has continued to increase since mid-March 2022. (WMNF)
- Riverfest returns to Tampa next week. On May 6 and May 7 join the free 2-day event featuring the Taste of the Riverwalk + TacoFest. Activities include a free concert series, balloon glow, wiener dog derby, lantern parade, paddle invasion, and more. (Facebook)
- Tampa residents are invited to collaborate with city engineers and planning professionals to improve the safety on Main Street. From May 3 to May 4 join in for a design workshop to hear the final presentation on safety improvements for Main Street. (Facebook)
- Margarita Wars is returning Thursday, May 19 to Tampa River Center. Guests can enjoy a battle for who makes the best margaritas in town, live entertainment, Mexican tapas, and more. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Laundry Project. (Visit Tampa Bay)
