Bob’s Carpet Mart Inventory Saved from Fire
A blaze broke out at Bob's Carpet Mart's Hillsborough Avenue location Monday morning.

TAMPA, FL — A forklift fire that resulted in exploding propane tanks threatened Bob’s Carpet Mart’s inventory Monday morning, but Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread.
According to the agency, firefighters were called out to a commercial fire at the store’s 5523 W. Hillsborough Ave. location Monday morning. While on the way, the crew from Engine 10 heard propane tanks exploding, an email from the agency stated.
When they arrived, they found a forklift inside the building on fire.

“Due to the quick suppression efforts of the crews on scene, the fire was contained to the forklift,” the email said. While the blaze broke out in the warehouse, near the carpet inventory, no damage spread to the structure or the carpet located within it, the agency reported.
No injuries to firefighters or workers were reported.
