1. A Tampa Bay healthcare CEO from Pinellas Park has been charged by police with three counts of scheme to defraud. She is also accused of taking part in "an employee check reimbursement scheme." Her bond came in at a total of $75,000. (WFLA)
2. All AdventHealth hospital locations in Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties have achieved an "A" patient safety grade for the third year in a row by the prestigious Leapfrog Group. Only 30 percent of hospitals ranked received the top grade and 115 are awarded as a top hospital. (Press Release Desk)
3. A server in New Port Richey received a surprise $2,000 tip just days before Christmas by a group organized by City Councilwoman and Realtor Kelly Mothershead. The server plans to host luncheons with the proceeds in order to give back to the community, an annual goal for her. (WTSP)
4. South Tampa's popular hotspot, The Boozy Pig, is expanding to Davis Island, joining Duckweed Urban Grocery. The new shop is expected to open in early 2023. The concept's meat machine could possibly also make it to the new location. (That's So Tampa)
5. Tampa Taco Fest is returning to Al Lopez Park next year on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023 at 4810 North Himes Avenue. The event is pet-friendly and kid-friendly. Participating restaurants include Los Chapos Tacos, Jimmy's Tacos, Loli's Mexican Cravings, and Los Tacos Mariachis. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
