Breeze Airways Begins Service To 3 New Seasonal Destinations

TAMPA, FL — Breeze Airways, whose motto is the "Nice Low-Cost Carrier," will launch three routes from Tampa in the next three days, with flights to Charleston, West Virginia, Wednesday, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Thursday and Columbus, Ohio, on Friday.

Breeze will offer twice-weekly service to all three seasonal destinations, with fares from just $39 one-way.

  • Charleston, (CRW) seasonal service Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Pittsburgh (PIT) seasonal service Thursdays and Sundays
  • Columbus (CMH) seasonal service Fridays and Mondays

Additionally, a new service to Springfield, Illinois, (SPI) starts on Dec. 4.

Breeze currently offers nonstop service from Tampa to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Bentonville-Fayetteville, Arkansas; Charleston, South Carolina; Charleston, West Virginia (seasonal); Columbus, Ohio (seasonal); Hartford, Connecticu; Huntsville, Alabama; Louisville, Kentucky; Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (seasonal); Portland, Maine; Providence, Rhode Island; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Springfield, Illinois; and Syracuse, New York; as well as one stop/no plane change BreezeThru service to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Phoenix, Arizona.

“It’s a busy week for Tampa International Airport and our friends at Breeze, who are kicking off nonstop flights to Charleston, West Virginia, Pittsburgh on Thursday and restarting a route to Columbus, Ohio, on Friday,” said Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano. “Since Breeze launched its inaugural service from TPA in 2021, it has quickly become a customer favorite, and we’re thrilled to see this wonderful partner airline add more destinations for our Tampa Bay travelers.”

“We are continuing to grow our destinations from Tampa, and this is evident in our three newest routes starting on three straight days,” said Breeze Airways President Tom Doxey. “Including our newest announcement of flights to Springfield, Illinois, we want our guests in Tampa to have more affordability, convenience and flexibility when they are looking for more travel options.”

Breeze offers its guests both bundled and ala carte options known as "Nice," "Nicer" and, on routes operated with Airbus A220s, "Nicest." The Nicest bundle includes Breeze Ascent, two checked bags and complimentary snacks and beverages, including alcohol. The carrier has ordered 80 A220s with options for 40 more.
